First review of The Road
23 October 2008 by jaksoulThe recently revived solace in cinema has the skinny on an early review of The Road.
Knowing the book, I can’t imagine a situation where I’d want to put myself through the agony of spending two hours going through it all again.
It sounds like one of those films you have to be in a really specific mood to go see, but is an ultimately rewarding experience if you manage it.

Thanks for the links Toby.
(Although those jeremy ambler pics might have tipped back into the too traumatised to view camp!!)
It’s definitely a masterpiece and has haunted me also-it’s the believability of it all that is just so completely terrifying.
