a salty girl with yellow hair (waiting in that rocking chair)

i had no doubt i loved the internet. no doubt at all, but this week has been great for our relationship.
it gave me new ipods, potential new homes, google documents for shared curating of letters to the bishop of london, link through’s from new york magazine and great, great things for the horse latitudes.
yes this week the internet has been good to me.
and it gets better. friends from across the ocean or the other side of the city have used it to email us as touchstones for other friends in london, introduce new bands that we fall in love with and then get to spend quality time with. but more of both of those bands next week - delayed gratification being a sign of maturity and all that…
so what else has has my fickle lover the internet done for me this week? actually, it’s sparked a minor obsession with richard thompson and while i’ve had my ’something for the weekend’ set up in my mind all week i’m letting my love be my guide today and switching it up.
a song about the end of the long journey which made you defiant and single-minded since, though it came close, it didn’t kill you.
even if you think you can’t stand english folk rock you should give three minutes of your time to this weekend.
