So aside from getting past the technical issues-september also sees hl celebrating it’s one year anniversary (woot woot!!) and since we have managed to artfully leave all our audio files on the old server, we now have the perfect opportunity to go back and fill in a few gaps and re-up all the tracks that we feel best sum up all the things we have loved about the blog.

I guess it’s about trying to remember the ground we’ve covered, to see what has worked and what hasn’t and to use that as a guide for where we want to go in the future.

Betty Davis, is a big favourite of mine. This song (as well as having a vaguely *cough* horsey theme) has been going round my head all day, and any song with the lyric “is it true ?, you want to, hi-ho my silver” certainly deserves our unbridled love and devotion.

It’s sounds to me like a song of tired, dusty, mournful lust-of
reaching the end of the night and not wanting to be alone-I think I could listen to that last minute or so, when it breaks right down, over and over.
