Conquist-adore

Artiste du jour at the basilika household right now is manchester’s newest hope Trusme. His first 12″, the Nards EP, is getting love in all the right places, and his forthcoming 12 is equally as heavy. Drawing some big , but by no means unreasonable, moodymann comparisons-the guy is very much someone to be keeping an eye on this year.

Not one to be jumping bandwagons (again) or anything I thought it might be cool to post the track from which Nards draws it’s inspiration.

Maynard Ferguson - The Fly

Heavy at the beginning-rubbish in the middle-great again at the end, seems like Davy-boy took all the best bits and left the chaff on the shelf-which is pretty much all a good re-edit should be.

btw-the Trusme edit is the final track (about 31 mins in) on the recent 77basilika mix if you haven’t heard it already and now desperately want to. (scroll down for the link)
